Procrastination

November 28, 2012 by Mom on the Make Leave a Comment

So, I sat down this morning to create a post on how to use my beloved picmonkey to create my very own beautiful social icons.

As I was sitting down, I noticed that I needed to tweak some items on my website.

I thought that I needed more featured posts on my sidebar, so I spent about 20 minutes on that, then I noticed that I was not fond of the widget title font, so I spent awhile figuring out how to tweak widget title fonts.

Then, when I pulled up picmonkey and was getting ready to take a screenshot of the first step, I noticed my Jing Sun (tool to create screencasts) in the corner of my screen had disappeared, so I put tech in my google search, and technorati came up.  I download Jing from techsmith which is why I put in tech in the search.

Anyhoo, then I found myself on the technorati website.  I decided to check out my blog to see how it was doing in the technorati world.  I noticed my score is 135.  Well, I have no idea what this means, so, of course, I had to research the meaning of a technorati score.  Another 20 minutes or so.

Now, here we are, its 11am, and I have to run to the store now to grab lunch for myself and Bam Bam as we have a park playdate in about an hour.

Picmonkey social icon tutorial – I will get to you soon……..I promise.

Do you ever have those days of absentmindedness where you focus on all of the shiny things that pop up instead of the task at hand?  Or is it just me?

Editor’s 24 hour update: I completed the tutorial on How to Create Social Buttons using PicMonkey.  I’m proud to say I was able to push the absentmindedness aside for a bit.
