Fooled By Five Year Olds

December 5, 2012 by Mom on the Make 1 Comment

Bam Bam had a friend over today for a playdate after school.

They had finished their chicken noodle soup, and really wanted dessert.

I gave them two pieces of licorice.

They wanted more.

A few minutes later, they came running up to me to let me know that there was a T-Rex on our front lawn!

I just HAD to go look at it before it attacked our home.

So, I went to the front yard.

Surprise, surprise, no T-Rex in sight.

When I came back in the house, I saw both boys happily munching on 3 more pieces of licorice each.

They punked me.

Man, I really have to stay on my toes at ALL times.

Are you SERIOUS? I would’ve gotten into sooo much trouble if I did that as a kid. Of course, that would’ve involved convincing my mom there was a dinosaur on the lawn. As a biology teacher, I’m pretty sure she was aware of their extinction. 😉

Hmmm . . . I see a lack of desert the next day in those boys’ futures.
