This morning’s workout was fantastic.
After not going to workout for five days, I was concerned that I would not be able to handle the workout. Β Its very difficult when you get out of a routine.
I have been suffering from insomnia for the past few days, making it very difficult to get up at 5:30am.
However, this morning I persevered, and after three hours of sleep, still made myself get out of bed and drive to swim practice.
Here’s the workout:
200 swim free
200 kick free
200 drill swim (drill down, swim back)
200 (75 easy, 75 build, 50 Fast)
16 x 50 (1-8 IM {one 50 of each stroke, go through it twice} 9-16 {free on 50/45/40/35, go through twice})
16 x 100 free
Intervals as follows: 1-4 (1:45, 1:40, 1:35, 1:30) 5-8 (1:40, 1:35, 1:30, 1:25) 9-12 (1:35, 1:30, 1:25, 1:20) 13-16 (1:30, 1:25, 1:20, 1:15)
2800 yards
This was a great workout, but to be honest, I had to get out a touch early, and only made it to the 9th 100 of the last set.
So, so glad I made myself go this morning. Hopefully back on track now. π
Good for you for getting up after only 3 hours of sleep ! I hope that after such a great workout this morning, maybe sleep will fall upon you easier tonight ! Can’t wait to see you next week ! π
That’s pretty good after only sleeping 3 hours. Make sure you eat a healthfully breakfast.

Yes, the healthy breakfast is key. I have been loving the Fruit and Nut Granola cereal from Trader Joe’s complemented with hot green tea.
