Masters Swim Workout

Masters Swim Workout

Today’s workout was all about sprinting.

I really liked the focus on shorter distances and getting our heart rates up.

Here’s the workout……

Master’s Swim Workout

400 free, every fourth lap choice
300 (kick, drill,swim by 75)
200 (75 easy, 75 build, 50 fast)

200 kick (75 easy, 75 build, 50 fast)

3 x (25 sprint
25 fast overkick
25 easy
25 sprint
75 easy
25 fast
100 easy)

3 x 200 pull

2600 yards

Editor’s note: I also decided to see how many times I could listen to Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” on my drive home, and the answer is two times. 🙂

So, apparently, my drive takes approximately 8 minutes to the pool.  I really should try to swim 4-5 times per week instead of only 2-3.  I mean seriously, with an 8 minute drive there is NO excuse.
