Hi, I found your post on Wylly Folk St John when I was looking for old copies of some of her magazine articles. She was my great aunt and it’s not the first time a reader thought she was a man based on her name. She was named William Michael when she was born in 1908 as her parents were expecting a boy. People called her Willy Mike growing up and she changed the spelling as she grew older. I’m so pleased your daughter enjoyed her book. Aunt Wylly loved using children she knew in her books and I’m a character in ” The Christmas Tree Mystery ” Here’s a link to my blog which has more stories about her and some old photos too should your daughter be interested in learning more.

The message in the book is so worthwhile and I agree that the story should be shared with elementary and middle grade children in the hopes to inspire them to do good in their community. Oh wow!! Those photos are incredible. I just cannot begin to imagine what it must be like there. Going to Legoland is on our “must-see” bucket list for sure. They kids would just go crazy there! Glad you had a nice holiday. Welcome back!

Big, big Congrats on your blogoversary!! We must have started at almost the same time because I just had my first year blogoversary a couple of months ago. I totally agree with you that it is totally therapeutic to blog. I’m itching to blog about things other than books (and likely will be doing more of that over this next year). You have a great blog and I’m happy to hear that you will be continuing on with it.

That looks so delicious! Especially on a cool day as it is here now. I love anything that I can eat with cornbread. I always buy a block of cheese and shred it.
